The Lenny Peters Foundation is proud to celebrate the grand opening of its 14th Lenny Peters Home in Manizales, Colombia. This marks our first location in South America, a major milestone in our mission to empower and uplift those facing life’s greatest challenges around the world.
This new home continues the transformative work initiated by Bright Minds Foundation in 2020, which focuses on promoting the inclusion, dignity, and development of individuals with moderate cognitive disabilities. Together, we are creating environments where these individuals are not only supported but celebrated for their unique strengths and potential.
For decades, the Lenny Peters Foundation has stood as a beacon of hope and compassion, providing comprehensive care, education, rehabilitation, and life skills training to vulnerable communities around the world. Our homes are more than safe havens—they are launchpads for opportunity, self-confidence, and independence.
In Manizales, The Lenny Peters Home serves as a launchpad for opportunity and independence through:
- Mentes Brillantes Soccer Club: 60 passionate boys and girls playing soccer with dedication
- Vanilla and Chocolate Project: Fosters joy and wellbeing via recreational and cultural activities
- Serves many low-income community members facing education barriers
- Partners with educational institutions for training and job placement through educational and employment initiatives.
