On Saturday, June 20, I spent time at our new Bethany Medical Winston-Salem clinic, welcoming neighbors as they visited for the first time. We provided free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings and, most importantly, introduced a care team fluent in their language.
I have practiced medicine in the Triad long enough to know what it looks like when a patient cannot fully explain their symptoms or fully understand their treatment plan because of a language barrier. This gap has real consequences. Our new clinic addresses this challenge by ensuring Spanish-speaking patients in Winston-Salem receive clear, continuous care from check-in to follow-up.
This clinic expands our Spanish-speaking care teams in High Point and Greensboro. Patients can call 336-967-0817 for scheduling and support in Spanish, with same-day and walk-in appointments available seven days a week.
I am proud of what we accomplished on Saturday and even prouder of the impact it will have on our future patients.
